Simple:Press Forum Plugin for WordPress – Simply Brilliant

Written by Sally, in Blog & News

SimplePress Forums and IRC are where I started, many moons ago in 1995, so I always have a spot in my heart for good, solid forum systems.  Simple Machines Forum (SMF) has been my favourite for many years, since it started in fact in 2003/2004, and I became a SMF developer in 2005.

However, my work changed and I started to work with WordPress more and more and would manually bridge (integrate) SMF to WordPress to marry the two applications together.… READ THE REST >>

‘I Am What I Am’ Branding – Be True To Yourself, Be True To Your Brand

Written by Sally, in Blog & News

I am what I amI am a brand.  I want to market myself in the best possible way, just like I do my clients, and of course my niche area is social media.  However, it amazes me how many brands and companies only spam our Twitter streams with links or Facebook us with BUY NOW status messages.

One thing you can say about me, without a doubt, is that I like a natter.  I am social.  I am unfortunately, though, one of those types who find it incredibly hard to be corporate. … READ THE REST >>

Written by Sally, in Blog & News

Uk Election 2010So the big night arrived, it came, it ‘kind of’ went and Twitter was very busy.  What am I talking about?  The UK General Election.

Myself and a few other nutters people decided to stay up through the night and experience the election night as it happened, live, on Twitter.

Written by Sally, in Blog & News

LinkedInLinkedIn is one of my personal favourite networking sites simply because it does ‘what it says on the tin’ and it keeps you ‘Linked In’ with friends, clients, customers, colleagues, managers and more.  It is a superb way to show the world who you are and what you are doing at the moment in your professional life.  It can also be used to show potential employees or business partners what you could do, and that is the key. … READ THE REST >>

7 Firefox Addons That Make Life A Whole Lot Easier On A Netbook!

Written by Sally, in Blog & News

FirefoxFirefox is, for me, the best browser I can use for both work and personal use.  I have it installed on all my PC's, laptops and my netbook.  But on my netbook is where it really excels as it allows my netbook (which let's face it, as with most netbooks, does not have the greatest amount of memory, space or speed) into a fully functioning laptop, and it allows me to do a lot of work on the move, just by using Firefox addons.… READ THE REST >>
